First day of the CAT course at Unitec, so far we have learned basic safety rules and hazards around the workshop. Overalls and steel cap boots must be worn 100% of the time and if you do not have one for any reason, you can borrow a smelly one from Rob or you will be asked to do labour that does not require safety equipment.
We witnessed students working on engines which were mounted on stands, which were pretty cool because they can actually run. We also witnessed students studying other courses in the workshop including carpentry. The workshop is surprisingly spacious, the ceiling was very high and alot of space in each department.
Looking forward to the year, great students at this campus and great cars!!!
